This pot stand is good and stable. The other x type was probably introduced because it is common to other stoves, Optimus loke and Optimus eagle. The x type probably packs ways easier too. That's my guess anyway. This stoves pot supports are probably better.
Re: the pot supports. I'm thinking it's a safety design change. (aswell as making manufacturing a bit cheaper) The early bigger supports encourages the user to use bigger pots. Big pots together with that burner could mean overheating. Can't put large pots on the X-type.
That makes sense. Mine has the wire ones, there are times I wished it was the x type as the pot looks to sit closer to the burner.
so you mean the X-type is early product? so the X-type is around 1980~19?? the charmign stand is around 19??~19?? (later 1985~1990 ??)
