I got a set (upper & lower) of Trangia windscreens, 27 series, and as many pots and kettles as I have, none fit. So, I researched what kettles work, and found that the Trangia 1 Liter kettle will fit. Ross verified what Trangia stated, it will fit. The .6 L, for the 27 series, is too small for me. The .9 & 1.4 L kettles will not fit the 27 series windscreens. That said, I have exhausted all avenues to get a Trangia 1.0 liter kettle anywhere in the USA. Please note, there are 2 shapes of Trangia kettles. Wide base, .6 & .9 liter. Narrow base, 1.0 & 1.4 liter. I want the narrow base 1.0 liter kettle. Kettle Nr 200244 Kettle, standard model, 1.0 liter. Weight 195 g. HERE Finally, I decided that before I get the 25 series windscreens and .9 kettle, I would ask: What pots/kettles do you use in the 27 series windscreens? Thanks much, Ken in NC
Morning, Ken, Looks like a great kettle, and hey, I'd like one, too!! I don't "think" that I already have one, but will go down into the Hobbit Hole and see. Hi Ken Have you tried north of the border? http://www.canadianoutdoorequipment.com/store/trangia-1l-aluminum-kettle.html Could be your answer but they say it won't fit T25s or T27s. my feeling is that they could mean that it won't nest inside them. They do give a telephone number so I'd be giving them a call to ask the diameter. Regards John
Laitch, But... But... It does fit, but won't stow. I don't care, I use a Caldera Cone w/ MSR .85 titanium kettle backpacking, so no need to stow properly. John, seems the shipping cost from Canada puts me back to just getting the 25 windscreen set with the .9 liter kettle. I am sure someone would want the 27 windscreens. Ken in NC
Such a shame. You've set you heart on this. Is the price difference really that much? What you could really do with is someone in CCS that lives in Buffalo but works in or visits Toronto regularly. It would cut out the international dshipping costs. Regards John
It definetly fits in a 27. Not as perfect as the kettles that come with the storm-cookers but I only noticed today it doesn't sit quite perfectly on the bottom of the supports as the diameter is a little wide but that's the first time I've noticed & as you can from the blacking it's been used on the Trangia a fair old bit! Mine came in a Trangia billy outfit I don't think they do any more. I can have a word with Trangia if you like Ken. There is something I need want from them too that is hard to find. Maybe they can help us out.

Hi Ken, Yes, unfortunately for us, Canada Post charges considerably higher fees than US Post. Have you checked the chinese kettles on e-bay ?? They don't usually give dimensions, but you can always ask. 0.8L or 1.1L; often with free shipping.
Thanks. I have my heart set on Trangia to go with the Trangia screens. I don't need a stove, it's only a want. If I do get that 1.0 liter, I may be the only one in the USA with one. Ken
Morning, Ken, I checked into purchasing one of those 1 liter Trangia kettles from the Canadian shop, and well.... at least for me, the shipping is far to high to warrant my buying the kettle. $20 for the kettle, and $19 for shipping. I'll pass, for now, and maybe one will come to hand with more reasonable shipping charges. I know that you are really wanting one of these, so for you, it might be worth the shipping costs. OK at nearly 100% of the value of the goods methinks that post Canada are taking the Micky* and I fully understand the reluctance to go down that route now! Hi John, The 25 kettle in the 27 we are writing about is specifically the 1.0 liter kettle. And it will work in the 27 series windscreen but WILL NOT stow. Ken in NC
