I found this beauty at a garage sale just down the street from my place. Not too shabby for twelve bucks. 9/88 build date. First stove purchase in quite some time. Also, my first photo upload since the change umpteen years ago.
This is one of my all time favorites. They simmer better than anything else IMO. The large fount carries enough fuel for a whole weekend. A tad heavy but its virtues outweigh the negatives. Great find for $12.
A great stove, I picked one up last summer for $40 with the plastic case too, so you did great at $12. Burns real hot and simmers very well.
I picked up 3 of 508's a couple of years ago at yard sales.....Two of them had the storage cases. All 3 were in great shape and only $5 each. Haven't seen another since.
