I recently got this stove working. I really got it because the box caught my eye. I may have paid a bit much for it, but it is a beautiful tin. Please wait to reply until I have posted all pictures. Flame shots at the end. Thanks to all at the NE stove meet last month, especially Doug, he made a couple of washers for me. I am missing a pot stand, but the material I ordered is on it's way home, I should make one soon. The spirit cup does not fit where it is supposed to, so some brazing (learning) is in order there. The reserve cap is also the pump handle, I heard to ensure it does not get lost. I hope you enjoy. Ken in NC

I count myself lucky I've a Juwel with a very faded version of that tin that on peering hard at the panels, and in the right light, I can just make out the pictures. Owning one like that would be less of a strain on the old eyesight, I'll grant. Very fine. John
I made a leg for it, but sad to say, I am not going to take a picture and give evidence of a functional, but, not pretty pot stand. I did buy some 6mm 304 SS, but after practicing with some 1/4" round stock, it works very well. I hand ground the 1/4" (.250) to about .240 or a little less, and it fit like the .235 original. The bends and notch are very close, but not so close that a quick glance won't pick it out. It works. Ken in NC
I learned something today. Well, as little as I know of stoves that's not saying much, but it was a minor detail that I had missed before. The spirit cup, seen above, would not fit between the riser and the burner. I had assumed it was missing material that had been pulled away as the spirit cup may have been pushed or pulled. I also assumed I would have to solder material to have it held in place. Anyway, I noted another spirit cup today and noticed how little surface is required for it to stay in place. I then proceeded to gently tap the inside diameter of the cup to make a flat surface, then tightened it between the riser and the burner. That helped to better flatten the surface. It now fits properly. Ken in NC
Good Morning, Ken, WOW!! What a fantastic Juwel you have found, complete with it's lovely treasure chest (tin!)!! Even if you paid a tad too much, I have to say, it was well worth it!! You don't see Juwels like that come up often, and yours is, indeed, a very special, and very lovely stove and tin combination!!! I have a smaller Juwel, and it's tin and goodies, however, it's not near as nice as your new stove!! And, someone dropped my Juwel and it apparently landed on it's bottom fuel tank seam, and now it leaks fuel. Not sure how to repair that, so it will probably just be for looking, rather than using. But, YOUR Juwel is most definitely for both looking, and using, and it's tin is simply brilliant!!! Hearty congratulations, and thank you for sharing this lovely combo with us!!!
