Cooked in the electric oven, if I had a cob oven I'd be real happy.

I have a nice Preway with cast iron manifold and brass fuel, tank. Only problem is the pump cap is not functioning.

I don't have much experience with kerosene stoves like Optimus,Primus,Hippo and such.

The Primus Grasshopper. My first 'backpacking' stove. What's not to not love - heavy steel fuel cylinder, unstable unless set up on concrete, hard to get level, small pot support, no real windscreen.

Still, they were very popular back in the 70's, mostly because they had little real competition outside of the more expensive white gas stove offerings from Sweden. I suspect my Dad liked it only because after we came back from camping trips he could use the propane bottle with his plumber's torch. He was a very economical guy.
