Not sure on the timeline but they seem to be prevalent in the 60s and 70s. I've seen advertisements during that era without the non-stick surface, like yours. The non-stick Teflon versions, of course, came out later, and with extra dimples for grease and such on both sides. They fit a 425x stove perfectly. I prefer the non-stick surface over the alu surface on these. Everything sticks to it unless you use a lot of oil on them. Great score. sam
I've got one like that with the non-stick, which I bought in the early 80's. I love it. I've also got a heavy 10 ga. pressed steel one the same size without the non stick. It too, works very well. I even use the steel one on a "real" fire from time to time bracing it on stones arranged to hold it above the fire and keep it level. Much easier to use than a frying pan, but a bit awkward for backpacking. Gerry
I also am not aware of dates for these "Toaster,Griddle, Broiler" as they say on the box. But to me they are real gems for cookware. I use the non Teflon type for pancakes after allowing it to get really hot. The broiler racks that slide on hardly have seen any use except in my home oven or as cooling racks. I once or twice saw advertisements for these showing some type of shielding extending down into the stove, maybe directing heat or as a splatter guard. But I have never seen them anywhere in real life.
I just picked one up at the local Goodwill still in the box with instructions. The date stamp on the box is April 1966.
