Today found this lovely little Optimus 96 (V3) which I think is 1950/60. Why is it that when I find these the burner head (bell) is always missing :rage: :rage: :rage: ? Everything else is there including windshield, meths can and even brand new prickers. The tin is in really good condition which is the main reason for buying it. I will post in the "Wanted" section to see if I can find a burner head. If not, this will be broken down and sold for spares. Shame that would be. Steve.

Hi Steve, that is a great find.

It all looks to be in fine condition.
Even the meths bottle looks good.
The missing burner bell is a bind, but never mind.
Are there only two pot supports?

If you break it up for spares, you will be able to sell all the parts easily, especially the lipstick burner.

    Morning, Steve,

That 96 was an excellent find!! I am sure that, if you are patient, a burner head will come your way. I don't think I have such a thing, but will look down in the Hobbit Hole, and see if one comes to hand, but don't remember there being one down there. Thanks for sharing this lovely stove, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Mark
