Images of a Swiss Sigg Tourist aluminum cook set that came with a Swedish Svea 123 stove, purchased on ebay open but unused. Lots of pics so will spread them out over multiple posts.
Thanks folks. I was very surprised that this is the first Tourist to be documented in the gallery. Especially considering how well loved they are.
I've had Alu. Tourist kits and Stainless. I far and away prefer stainless as it is much more resistant to me and the way I've banged it around. I think I've acquired three alu. ones over time. I gave one away and sold two. I now have one for the Svea 123 and one for the Coleman Feather 400. Both are excellent cook kits. I consider The Coleman a tad over powered, but it is what it is. Many people like them, so who am I to say? If it was the only stove I had I'd feel well equipped. As it is I'm now suffering a serious case of the wants for a Primus 96 or something similar. I'm selling my pickup and camper to buy a smaller unit and will have some of that green leafy stuff to buy a stove with in a week or two. Not only that, Da Missus has had another run of luck at the casino of her choice and has put USD$500 in my toys and adventure account.
OLD THREAD all, I just linked to this post from here. I've become familiar with the kit as I too have since scored the same NOS kit as above marketed by Optimus: Optimus Svea 123 and SIGG Tourist, mine too was originally in plain cardboard box. Note my tank lid w/hex fitting (so Knotty's is a tad earlier) and mine shipped w/key but no chain. thx omc
