Took Mum to the market today, seeing as it was Mother's Day. Didn't get anything for her but she seemed to enjoy herself! I got about half of a Primus 96. It's missing the burner bell and flame plate (are all of them?) and one of the pot stand legs. Box is rusty, tank has a nasty ding. Don't care, want the bits for it ASAP. Also got a Veritas Mk.1 in a biscuit tin. *shrug* another two pinter, nothing special, will clean it up and keep it. Final item which the guy gave me por nada is brass, with mesh covered pad. No idea what it is, any suggestions? Pictures below. If anyone has the missing parts for the '96 please PT me!.
Just having a look at the Veritas before introducing it to some citric acid. Bit of an odd pump arrangement?
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think the pump is supposed to be pressed into the tank like that.
Can't make my mind up about it. Initially thought it had been bashed myself, but it seems very symmetrical and well measured. Meh... It holds pressure. I'll burn it
I am sorry to say that the side of the tank with the pump has been 'bashed in'. You could try filling the tank with water and then freezing it. The freezing water might expand enough to push out the dent.
