1937 Primus No.71

71's of any year are great! Beautiful flame so definitely a "user".

 

That looks like the hottest, fiercest flame I've ever seen on an L71!

I need to break my 71 down and try to get it cleaner or something because I'm jealous of that firepower!

 

i'll second Wim!!on just about any stove that i have seen iani's 71 is a blaster.

 

Makes my 47 71L look anemic. Going to have to break her down and soak her in Chem12 now.

Can you tell me the purpose of the screw inside the filler cap? I have just got one of these and a brass disc has been soldered on the outside of the cap maybe to cover a hole? any ideas.

The screw just retains the seal.
