Thanks for posting those links - I'd even forgotten I was there until I saw the pix, which brought it all flooding back!

If he's not careful he could also end up with 50 X246Bs kindly donated by the rest of us! :D

I don't want to bring home my remaining one either...

I'm in Nottingham on business on Friday, is it OK to come along? I like some advice on two burner Ultimus that refuses to pump and I've also got a 96 with a burner from an Optimus 00 that has a failed solder joint on the filler that I'd like some tips on...

Yep, no need to book or anything like that.

When you get to the venue you'll find there's a barrier. Just use the intercom button to tell reception you're with the 'stovies and lampies' and you'll be let in...

Great to hear you will be there Archie.
I have a feeling that you will be going home with more than you bring! :D

It's 6:10 pm and I'm still by the pool - still hoping to get over on Saturday , just hope the plane doesn't get delayed or we have another volcanic ash cloud! I'm sure I can muster a few tilley's for the event :-)

Kev - the event won't be the same if you don't turn up.
Get your fill of the sunshine and get back to to the rain!

We have a red 246b, a gold one with issues, and I think I have a gold one in my for sale box (I live in hope).
Wasn't going to bring these as I know how fond everyone is of them but if I can squeeze them in the car, I will (too many lamps now, need a bigger car)!

My advice; bring the gold one(s) but leave the red one at home. There we are; that's saved you the space of one lantern already.

Whatever the issues are, I'm sure they won't last for long...
