    Gentlemen; here is another beat to death brassie; drilled for wiring; cracked and w/o a pump :cry:
    will try to get picture out later; am inspired by John <Presscall"s" magnificent retore :clap:
    have had her for a while BUT .......have been looking for parts and they are not common in this area; the drilling is "fixable" no problem closing the hole and the cracks.
    repairing the self cleaning needle probably with the enders set up detailed by John here on the/his beautifully detailed Mirus/Gaz-Bleu restore:thumbup: :thumbup:
    burner from BD available :thumbup: :D/ :) but not till Nov. :(
    Pump ](*,) ; ahhh that is another matter ](*,) there is one for sale on the "bay" in France But the gentleman will not accept any emails for info and will only sell in France ](*,) ](*,)
    [color:red]Ancien réservoir en cuivre marqué " GAZ BLEU S.G.D.G " vintage collection. item number 111440113844[/color]
    the threads for the Gaz-Bleu pump are 21mms x 1.25 pitch; surprisingly I found that the pump off an old primus blow torch has threads 21mms x 0.7mms, more or less; I think that these are the proprietary threads that BD has written about in past posts.
    questions coming to mind;
    a...should I recut the threads on the primus pump barrel to 21 mms x 1.25??.
    b....try to obtain somehow a "french" made blow torch to cannibalize its pump HOPING [-o< that it will have the same threads as the Gaz-Bleu :?:
    make her electric?......Naw; just can't do that can I :twisted: ?
    I must apologize about pix as my cell phone camera just died but did get one of the primus pump assembly as the camera died; appreciate all the advice and help on this task; cheers :)

    Gentlemen; these are a few pix of this very sad,cracked, beat up, dented, missing pieces Gaz-Bleu; suggestions eagerly awaited :)
    crushed in pump inlet missing pump..........and burner caps also
    missing pressure release but a primus will fit :D/
    1409363179-Gaz-Bleu_003_crushed__pump_inlet.jpg Ok,
    MORE CRACKS! :( big LONG ones ](*,) ](*,)

    Image distorted because of depth/distance;
    pump off primus torch beside Gaz-Bleu

    1409363464-Gaz-Bleu_010_pump_off_primus_torch.jpg

    different threads BUT same size.
    1409363587-Gaz-Bleu_002_different_threads.jpg

    pump goes in BUT won't thread reservoir threads 21x 1.25 mms..........primus 21 x 0.7 mms
    1409363684-Gaz-Bleu_012_fits_but_different_threads.jpg
    wondering if I should try to get hold of a french torch pump; might be the same threads :-k will have to purchase a die to re-cut threads in the reservoir inlet.......this size is oddball and fairly pricey :(
    cheers :)

    continuing......one BIG problem.
    John I did get the guitar wire and they were very helpful at the shop BUT could not get it to thread into the get/nipple more than a couple of mms
    taking her apart after soaking in Kero; the Needle in the regulator is broken off inside the jet ](*,) ](*,) :rage: :rage: ](*,) :cry:
    have tried pushing; tapping the back end of a number 80 drill bit, thankfully was able to get her out, there was about 3-4 mms that I could get hold of with BDs famous clamp to help remove NRVs; thanks again BD :thumbup: .
    am afraid of trying to drill as I feel the drill bit will try to go around the steel of the needle and "cut through the brass" in an off center manner; and importantly am trying to save the jet
    have done searches here and on the web but have drawn blank after blank; maybe am not asking the right question :(
    suggestions always appreciated :) could never have done others without them...........cheers :)

    bit more to add to the "resurrection", got the die in from China; 21 x 1.25 MMs;
    1410884275-gaz-bleu_001_pump_with_die___new__threads.jpg
    had scavenged a primus torch? pump assembly that had the very unusual primus proprietary? thread, 21 more or less x 0.7 mms
    re-cut the threads on the primus torch pump and :D/ threaded nicely into the Gaz-Bleu reservoir.............. :D/ :D/ 1410884197-gaz-bleu_005_new_old_pump_threaded_in_snugly.jpg

    now just need to get the broken needle out of the jet nipple :rage: :rage: ](*,) ](*,)

    cheers :)
