    Good evening fellow stove lovers,

For some time I' m visiting the excellent site and very nice forum.
As my hobby is now getting a bit more serious I wanted te show my latest aquisition, in need of a complete overhaul.

Beeing a bit of a novice I got in contact with Bart Meijer of Be Back Later, who was a great help in getting my Optimus 96 in good shape.
That particular stove got my interest really started. My parents bought it new in the fifties and used it for camping for about 15 years. I' m afraid it was used as a plant support later...
    Anyway it works perfectly now.

After this an Optimus 8r came in which I used on our cycling trip in Denmark this summer. :D

Hope to have a good time fixing the 111 and visiting (and hopefully contributing to) the site.

    Cheers,

    Frank

Hello Frank, looks like you have started collecting with three very fine stoves.
Be careful of the one known as Rik - - he has shown an interest in a 111b,
don't think you are safe - - even if you are in a different country.

    Welcome Frank.
The 111 stoves have a strong following here as you probably already know. If you encounter any problems during your restoration do not hesitate to post a question here.
We would also welcome pictures of your stove etc. but please would you make the images no wider than 600px so that they fit comfortably on the page. Alternatively you can post a thumbnail link of a larger image. The button to do this is at the bottom right of your Photobucket album page. I have made your image above into a thumbnail link so that the need to scroll to see all the pictur and read all the text is eliminated.

    Hello, Frank,

And, welcome to the craziest tin of mixed nuts you'll ever find, this side of a circus side-show!!!!  ;) 8)

You have begun your collection on two good feet: First, in having Brother Bart as your guide, he can help you quite a lot, and you will enjoy his guidence. Second, in obtaining three very fine stoves for your beginning, you're already on your way to a very nice collection!!! All three of your stoves are outstanding specimens and they will work very well for you, once fettled up to spec!!

Again, welcome to CCS, and we will all look forward to more photos and to reading of any adventures you have with your stoves, which you wish to share with us! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc Mark
