Once my 123R gets hot it burns with a beautiful, raging blue flame, but when first lit the blue flames have yellow tips. Is this normal? This is a photo of when she's warmed up.
I agree with Mtrout. I'd be more than happy with a flame like that. A stove is designed to run with a pot on top, but we often fall into the trap of assessing a flame sans pot, which gives a false impression. Yellow tips often disappear once a pot is added. As your yellow disappears of it's own accord as the stove warms up, I would ignore it. Terry
