I saw that just now. UNICUS, much cheaper of course than other offerings. I hope no one else has a big investment they need to recoup. Duane
Sort of a pagoda top to it. Interesting, ... but I prefer the cleaner look of the BD cap. And since I am unlikely to ever own one, cost is not a factor.
Yes, an interesting cap. Looks good, stainless, free shipping, photos seem to show it working well. A big plus-point is that it costs a fraction of the stove it is made for and will not cost you a multiple of the stove cost. I don't have a Primus OmniLite so will not be buying one. I hope a member does buy one and tells us how well it performs.
I did... And I won a Jimmy Lewis cap for my Omnifuel just the other day, so there will be some kind of comparison. Unfortunately I don't have a BD cap to set the base level.
I got the cap yesterday. This picture shows the construction: A bit cheaply made, but how does it work? Full throttle: It burns cleanly, the yellow is from the wind that happened to blow just when I took the photo. Medium power: And low: It goes pretty low and burns nice and blue all the time. Not very nicely made or collectible, but seems to work. Disclaimer: I have only tested it once so far, time will tell if there are problems. I wonder if it would fit other stoves...

Actually, the manufacturing processes on this cap may be entirely sufficient for a long life. We won't know for 40-50 years I guess.
Hi Mikko I wondered how the silent cap is going - are you happy with it? Also, have you used it with canister gas? All the best Leigh
