Sirram Redcap

    Just returned from my hols all suntanned and lovely.

    My eldest son came down from London and gave me my Christmas present, :D :D last years not this one.

    So I lit it up and made him and his good lady a cuppa.

    Worked a treat except that the bottom has a pin prick hole but a bit of solder will cure that.

    Lovely looking Redcap. They weigh very little and are ideal for making a brew of tea.
    I think they were popular amongst motorists and cyclists.

    Yours is a No 1, which is the quarter-pint model.
    I have a No 3, which is the one pint.

    I didn't realise they came in different sizes, here's a half pint version - - the bottom bit (burner holder) is cast aluminium

    Looks like many sizes and varieties ! I didn't realize the size until I saw the 123 in the background!
