    Hiya Stove People,

I bought this stove on EBay, not knowing which year it was made. It appears unused, and the case is in very good condition for its time. :content: The screw in post that allows the inner bell to be adjusted is missing, lost long ago, I would say. :(

Does Fettlebox sell spare filler cap washers for this stove, it looks somewhat different to those with the later model SRV's. Please advise. Thanks.

    Cheers

Hi Simon, here is a link to a thread on my well-used 1939 Pr.71.
There are some photos of the rotating shield mixture control:

I hope you are able to replace the locating pin.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

    Hiya Doc Mark,

Hey thanks for that link. I did a buy now, and so should be able to install the vital pin. This is a cool little stove from 1939. The case seems to be thicker metal than my 1960 model. They made things better in earlier years. Will post photos later on.

    Cheers
    Simon

Please see photo of stove and case. I don't think it has ever been used. Some lacquer has come off near the top of the fount, and the case has small amounts of rust evident, otherwise it looks great! :content:

    Hi, Simon,

Excellent! I'm really glad you scored that burner bell, as I think they are fairly rare on the market. Well done, and I look forward to hearing how it works on your great little Primus 71! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    Very Nice!

I'd make that one a 'Shelf Queen' and get a grotty one to play with.

This is most probably a stove I won't fire up. It is too good looking. :content: I have a 1960 71L which goes well and a NIB one from 1967. The 1960 one is a user, goes well. I feel lucky I got this one. :)

The name of the seller is canmec, and it is known as a military # 7 stove case. Send me a private message if you want his email address.

    Cheers
