Thank you Duane. I ran this one on Coleman fuel for a while since it ran better and cleaner. Back to Kero like all fine stoves
Hi Jeff, What a find, & yes I am as green as the case, with envy.Your last two posts were equally as good, well done, and keep hunting. Best regards. Optimust (Alan).
Jeff, you have a fine example of a No.11. It is in such good condition. Thanks for the excellent photographs.
I never think to run these old ones on gas, just kero. It was pointed out to me to use gas also in my Campingo, a DOH! moment. I'd rather use kero in the old ones, and gas in such as Coleman or 8/8R's. Some good finds can be had still on old stoves. Duane
Howdy, Jeff, I love those older #11s, and yours seems to be in excellent condition! I have a #11 which has the later style of burner, and it works very well. But, it would be nice to find the older burner, too, just for fun! Thanks for sharing this lovely #11, and hearty congratulations for having found it and made it yours!! Well done! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
Hi Jeff, you've got yourself one of the best stoves that bear the name Optimus! Congrats! I've not yet tried my N°11 on gas (petrol), only on kerosene (and I think that's how it will stay). I have a feeling the 11 runs hotter than my 2 N°111s with roarer burner. Best regards, Wim
