Thats a very nice one - mine did not come with a storage bag. It had no silver meths' flask either - or is there a 'malty' variety of spirit in there. Must get me a nice traditional kettle soon...
Hi OGD, well spotted on the spirit "tin". It is a small stainless steel hip flask, which I use for priming alcohol: https://classiccampstoves.com/posts/151872 The storage bag is not British Army issue as the No.12 is already well protected with its stainless steel case. However it does keep the dust off and gives some scratch protection for remaining paint. Just a bit of fun. Best Regards, Kerophile.
Good idea for a meths container - I don't entirely trust plastic squeezy bottles for transporting highly flamable liquids...
A bit late posting a photo, and it wasn't quite dark enough - but it fires up ok Thanks again for all the advice and offers of help...
Hi I know this is an old thread but Id like to know what the bag is and what its used for, I have the same stove just got one off Ebay and like the look of this bag its perfect for the stove. Could you or anyone else tell me more about it please?
Hi thanks I just ordered one I tried to PM you but for some reason it wont let me it said something about spam or the content
By the way you wouldn't know if this burner fits the No12 stove or not the seller doesn't seem to know if it does or not https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PRIMUS-S...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
Great looking stove, great looking case. The #12 has been on my list since I learned of it's existence, would be the perfect adventuring stove go with my diesel truck. The cost to get one over here makes me think my XGK and a bottle of kero is just fine, and would burn diesel in a pinch.
