Good Morning all, I just purchased a Meva no1 stove that appears to be in good shape. It has 263 on the bottom of the fount. I bought it for $50.00 (about 33£) which is a good price in the USA. Can anyone tell me about the Meva no1 ?. It looks like a Primus clone. Are the parts interchangable? Thanks everyone
Hi MP. If you go to the Reference Gallery and look under Czech Republic and Meva you will see many stoves displayed. If you read through the threads you will learn a lot about Meva stoves. For example: https://classiccampstoves.com/posts/214366 Your stove was likely made in 1963, when Czechoslovakia was part of the Soviet Bloc. Several of the part will likely be interchangeable with similar parts from Swedish stoves. Best Regards, Kerophile.
Kerophile, Thank you for the info. I just received a message from the seller that this stove is a new one that has never been used. Apparently the store found some new stoves in unopened boxes. This stove was one of their display models. It needs the pump fixed but that is an easy one
Hello All, I just received my new Meva No1 and I am very pleased. It appears to have never been used. The was no burner with the stove. Is the Primus burner interchangeable? The seller said the pump was broken but I found the issue to be dry leather. I oiled it up and it works fine.
Hi MP I think the problem is the inner burner cap. on the left side is meva ( burner, inner & outer cap ) on the right side is ordinary inner & outer cap. You can see that the inside part of the inner cap is different. here is the meva burner with ordinary inner cap. you can see it does not fit complete. here is the original meva inner cap - see the difference !?! the outer caps do fit. I think with theese pictures you will find the correct inner cap. regards Peter
