Well, what do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Very...tegoryZ26448QQihZ007QQitemZ170024293102QQrdZ1
That, unless my eyes deceive me, is a BodgeMaster FireBowl - possibly a mark three - but it's missing both the toasting fork (hard to find) and the holder for the limestone chip. edited to correct the spelig
Yes Doug, it is a mk 3, mk 1 & 2 were copper reflectors and the mk 4 (last in the series) had flush riveting - -
Thanks - I've never seen a Mk. 4 in the flesh. I know that the BodgeMaster products are not much collected now, but in their day they were thought of as the Spagforth of the burning appliance world. Who, of those lucky enough to see it, will ever forget G.O. Jones and his attempt to fit a series of BodgeMaster domestic ranges to his pre-war Steib. Thos of you unlucky enough not to be aware of the pioneering work done by generations of Spagforths might do no worse than start HERE.
I suspect that your link may be a load of b*ll*cks - - I've been using these oils for years, never once have I had any trouble with my ear plugs ! As for Steib, can we leave that subject aside for now.
Well, yeah, it is. But if somebody on this forum came up with something like that, and it worked, we'd all be saying how clever it is. I guess the difference is in trying to sell it on eBay as a non-bodged-something. Re: Spagthorpe, I believe my father-in-law had a Bulldog (hard to tell for sure from the photo) ; I'd like to get my hands on a restored Rottweiler -- just the thing for commuting on LA freeways. ....Arch
