I would like info on fuel used for an evinrude camp stove, also need a pump. Appreciate your help out there, Don
Welcome! That is a old stove you have there. I would love to see some pictures or add some to the Stove ref. gallery. As to what fuel your stove uses. I read through the Patent for this stove and it would appear that it is meant for gasoline. And to be primed with gasoline in cold weather. It has a shut off valve and most stoves of this time and country were made for gasoline. So that fits. It lacks a safety release valve but from reading what the patent says the tank would be well made and welded together. Many stove of the time lacked such a safety feature. Therefore I must advise caution when using gasoline/ or Coleman fuel. I would use Coleman fuel or white gas. Since today's gasoline is not what gasoline was back then. If this is Jeff, hi, I'm new to the site so I'll just bumble along and hope you get this mail. My Father migrated to California in 1920's from Minnesota and brought this stove and three brothers. Never did know how he made the trip. I'll get a couple of pictures and send them when I have a few minutes, the stove is a single burner so probably made in the 1917's plus. Thanks for the reply Don

As far as I know Evenrude apart from making outboard motors for boats, made pumps for industrial use, and in large boats. This is from my research on a pump I ended up with at a sale, silly me put a starting bid in at $2 and got it. Cheers Rob
