    Congratulations Ross.

I bet you did not originally think that CCS would grow into the amazing site that it is now.
I know that it has not been easy and at times you must have despaired.
I have seen at first hand over the years your heartache at some members who have wanted to disrupt or destroy.
But things are running smoothly and the new site is a delight to use - thanks to two years of hard work and money from you.
I look forward to the update of CPL next year. Lampies who have never visited the new CCS won't know what has hit them!

Your offer of a 15% Fettlebox discount to all members is very generous.
If people take you up on it you will have to do lots of burning the midnight oil.

    Your friend,
    Trevor

Thanks Trevor - no idea at all! I'm pretty laid back but have been surprised at certain events over the years & not just the ones that probably spring to most folks minds - nuff said! We are now classed as a 'big board' in forum admin circles. That & having to move to a VPS is something I'd never have imagined.

I hope that newer folk realise that, despite the slick software, CCS is a non-corporate site ran by an average Joe from his dining room table & that the site is about, for & by the members. No different than the early days when folk starting using our old basic forum. For those who weren't around back then CCS was a website I put up & tagged a basic forum onto as a kind of enhanced guest-book (remember them?). We moved from being a website to a community very quickly!

Fortunately a lot of the latest, essential update was paid for by our fighting fund & now subs are re-established finances will hopefully return to normal. It was a lot of work & your help sorting out post launch niggles has been immense & unsung. Thanks Trevor!

It great that we have such a fantastic community here & it's mostly great fun - both online & in the real world. It's a great hobby to have & I've made some great friends through CCS, yourself included!

Tom is kindly helping out again at the Fettlebox so hopefully I'l be better able to keep on top of things & introduce a few new items that are ready to go. Just need to photo & list!

    Good Morning, Ross,

Happy Birthday, CCS!!!! Huge thanks for all that you have done for us, and all that you continue to do, old friend!!! Without CCS, my life would have a huge hole in it, as this place has become "home" to me, as it has for some many other fellow Stovies!!! Thanks, also, for the sorry work you've had to do, enduring the sometimes slings and arrows of those few bad apple members we've had along the way. I'm SO glad that the vast bulk of our membership are friendly, happy, sharing, and good folks, and that the bad ones have been few and far between!! Like you, I have made some seriously good friends here at CCS, which include you(!), and that is really what is most special about this forum! Add to that the amazing reference materials, and an unending source of fettling help, and well, CCS is quite solidly in the "Best of Breed" category!!! Thanks, again, and Huzzah, Huzzah, HUZZAH, to you, and to CCS, for a great 15 years!!! Here's to many, many more! Thanks, also, for the very generous 15% discount at the FettleBox!! Well done!!! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

Thanks Ross. CCS is the tops!

I think there's a few Old Speckled Hens in the fridge. Might have a little birthday party for your baby tonight!

Fifteen years! Amazing indeed; Ross has created a truly great and lasting work, global in scope. Not many of us will ever be able to say that.

I came to CCS in April of 2001, so my 15th is not far behind.....and I know there are several who have me beat.

I have had the honor and pleasure (as has Debbie) of meeting in person, in England, Ross three times, Trevor and David twice, George, Ian, Nick, Bart, Doron, Henry and several others once, and on this continent, Doc, Gerry (Nordicthug) and Lance a couple of times each. And I consider friends many others whom I have not met personally.

Ross, congratulations! Out of curiosity, who are the members from, say, the first year who still drop in at least from time to time?
