Here is my first complete Svea 123. It's missing the "pot" handle, but everything else is there. I'm not worried about the handle, since I'll be using the pot as a cover only.

When I get home I'll fire it up. I probably won't polish it, since it's going to be used and not sitting on a shelf. There are a couple dents in the top on the windscreen. I'll fix those, but otherwise it's in pretty good shape. I should probably replace the cap seal and the pip, they look to be in good shape, but who knows if they have ever been replaced.

Anybody know where I can get a penti bit/key that will fit the SRV?

Well, the pip and the cap seal are shot. The stove won't pressurize. So I'll have to rebuild the SRV.

Berniedawg isn't doing any more custome/handmade work. So he isn't making the SRV tools anymore. I haven't tried making one since I don't have a vise. If I can't find a suitable tool, I'll try to make one.

Any other suggestions other ideas on where to get a bit/key that will work?

Hi @Warlock , you have likely seen this post but if you can't obtain a proper pentagonal key, nor make one, you can buy a second best tool.
The TX tamper resistant penta lobe type will engage in an SRV head and allow removal, but it will also distort the pentagonal shape of the hole in the screw.
With this Health Warning, the choice is yours.
I can't recall the exact size as I bought a set of these sockets on-line, and just tried them one by one until I got a "fit"

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile

I was just reading his website saying that he doesn't do handmade caps anymore. I figured that meant that he didn't do any handmade work anymore. I didn't email him, because I didn't want to bother him if he had closed up shop... I guess I'll email him. Thanks for the info.

Gary has a YouTube video where he details through repair of the SRVs. He shows you his tool and the Penta tools from eBay. He has a link at the bottom of the video. I bought a set of the torques bits that he suggests from eBay and they work fine. Seven dollars shipped I believe. I'll see if I can find a link.

    EDIT:
I have to admit that I have not read all the previous comments so somebody else mentioned this I'm sorry for being such a boar.

Yes evidently Gary doesn't recommend using those Pantelope things anymore. Evidently people of been having issues with them slipping. He also notes that you have to hold the Very firmly which is absolutely true. I believe I used set of seven our vice grips with innertube wrapped over the the jaws . Like I said it worked OK for me. Maybe they're using a different kind of Loctite now on the 123's. I remember I did have one that was really tough. And I did Mar the cap a little. Nothing strip down on me though.
