i had a 111t that needed a new pump cup. I went over to my goodie box and pulled out one of Sefa's wonderful pump leathers and thought it'd be a quick fix. Turns out that the retaining nut wouldn't come off. It just spun and spun. I was stumped for a while. I searched the Internet for second hand pump plungers. No luck. Then I realized that the previous owner had likely peened the nut in place intentionally. I couldn't think of a way to remove the nut without damaging it. Then I realized that all I needed to do was not damage the shaft or leather holder and I could make a new peened nut. I found a nut with the proper outside size. I used my dremel to cut off the old nut and to grind away the threads on the new one until I had a snug fit. Then I replaced the leather and peened the new nut on. It worked!

Hi, have a look at this:
Approaching the problem from another direction?

This one has a two-piece brass holder that the leather is held by. I don't know if going the other way would work with this variant.

Hi 111T, It should work as Gary's description involves gripping the slotted brass part, and undoing the hex nut which sandwiches the leather washer. Once this hex nut is loose you should be able to withdraw it and the damaged leather cup up the pump shaft, and then add new leather washer and re-assemble the pump piston assembly.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.
