One detail is that the word Diesel means different fuels in different counties as well as different meanings in military use also.

    It also says it's 9.8 kW (34000btu?) 3.5l (6.16 UK pint, 7.4 US pint), 250 mm (10") tall and 300 mm (12") diameter.
So the boil time might be about right.
    Regards

34,000 BTU! This thing is a blowtorch. I think that's way more than the hottest burner on my kitchen stove.

Clearly a wok burner from seeing those vids. The '1 litre of water boiled in a minute' claim is no doubt factual in theory but an irrelevance.

I've seen those outrigger pot rests on wok stoves before. Swung in-board they're to carry a pot other than a wok, but not a small one. Simmer setting (if it can be throttled down much) is still likely to be a scorcher.

I keep thinking about getting one but then ask what would I use it for. Maybe boiling the vinegar mix for pickling jalapenos.(lots of jalapenos)

The descriptions often need to be taken with a unhealthily large pinch of salt. The sellers may not have a clue about the goods they are selling and may be repeating spurious information not verified by actual usage.

It depends on the depth and capacity of the priming well, whether you can use paraffin & I haven't seen the priming well of this stove. The vapouriser looks like it could gasify diesel if it were able to be pre-heated enough.
You would have to carry a bottle of meths to start the stove cleanly on ANY fuel. Paraffin needs a fairly long burn.
Has anyone actually got first-hand experience of using anything other than white-gas?

Long time lurking on this forum.. Member since anudazumal.. First post.. @ Primus 96, here are a link for You, showing the preheating, probably with white gas, but anyhow a clue to what to expect. I am also interested in that stove, mostly because of the "pot rest". I do own some big singelburner stoves, witch I would like to use as "wok-burners".

Thanks for the video. I'd wondered what passed as a priming cup. It's just a well in the windshield surrounding the burner I see.

Excellent wok burner sure enough, but constructing a suitable pot rest for one of your large single-burner stoves would be a much cheaper alternative, Belsebub, something like the one I made for use with this four-burner rocket stove ...

That's amazing! I want one! What will I use it for? Doesn't matter. Cheers Jim. 168 dollars! That's TOO much, haha.

Hi John! That Coleman Handy Gas Plant looks very nice... All I have to do is find a Chinese cook. My primus 185 has a tripodstand, whith some modification I'll think it will work/wok just fine :)
