Well this is my first time posting on here. I got this stove at an antique shop for $20. I put a new cap washer on it and a flame spreader. Filled it up, primed it and it fired right up. going to be a good little stove I'm thinking.

I'm thinking the same thing especially at the price you paid. Now all you need is a pan.

This looks like a 1950's model, well spotted for $20.00. I must admit, I like these ones with the tank engraving.

    Cheers

    Hi Cooter, welcome to CCS.
You have a very nice Op.80 there. I think you stove is very similar to this one:

    https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/optimus-no-80-from-late-50s-early-60s.10881/

If you compare the tank markings on the side of the tank, there is a fair gap between the No.80 and the curve near the base of the tank. If so, I believe that your stove dates from the late 1950s/ early 1960s

The Mid- 1950s version of the Op. 80 which I also have has the Op.80 side marking, positioned lower on the tank, very near the lower curve:

Let this be a warning to you... Collecting stoves ends up with grown men studying tank engraving and worrying about when particular models were made.....!

    Best Refards,
    Kerophile.

Look on surplus sites for a Czech pot set. Fantastic quality for the money!
