    Folks,

Do you think that this item might be suitable as a fuel line on a D.I.Y. Frankenstove Trangia / Adjustable Silent Burner type stove. Think of the KAP Arctic ? Would the bore be big enough, too big ?

I'm also wondering how to attach the fuel line to the burner.
Looking at the burner on the KAP Arctic, I believe it to be very like the Hipolito Adjustable I have. The riser tube has been removed and a small diameter brass tube attached to the bottom of the burner. How ?
This small tube has a right angled(ish) bend in it which allows the burner to sit in the Trangia lower windshield and allows the fuel line to approach from the side.

I know next to nothing about working brass tubing, brazing / soldering, bore sizes diameters , thread pitch / depth etc. So I'm a bit in the dark on this one, but still keen on trying to get a Frankenstove rigged up ala KAP Arctic.

I had a link to some quick coupling fuel hose connectors, but can't find it anywhere.
If anyone knows of a good product I'd appreciate if they would let me know.

    Cheers

    Spudz

    The bore is OK

But beware - nitrile rubber max temperature max. 120 degrees Celsius !

Look at the Optimus Explorer - there you can se an example how it can be done.

Welcome back :? Henry, but if you intend eating all that garlic you can go away again ;) ;)

S & S, The Optimus Explorer is exactly what I have in mind.

I have a pump and fuel bottle from an Explorer, have the adjustable Hipolito burner and a Trangia 27 windshield set. I'm just looking into ways to connect the pump to the burner.
The fuel outlet from the pump is a quick coupling assembly, but I don't know what would go on the fuel line end. Can these parts be bought seperately?
Some form of a copper pipe from the burner bottom to the outside of the Trangia wind shield will be needed, do I need to get involved with soldering / brazing   ?

A goodly amount of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the bottom of your pan
1 finely chopped clove of Garlic, lightly sauteed in oil .. Be careful, you don't want to burn the Garlic.
A twist or 3 of ground chilli pepper to the oil.
    Remove from heat.

In a seperate pan boil enough water for cooking your pasta .. spaghetti is very suitable.
A fist of salt to the boiled water.
Add the pasta and cook ( I like it al dente meself)
Strain pasta, add to pan of oil and mix the lot up coating all the pasta with the flavoured oil.
Seerve and sprinkle as much finely grated Parmesan cheese as you like on top.

    Yum Yum Yum !!!
    Quick & very tasty ... ;) ;)

The small tube has a conical plug on the end. there is a soft (aluminium or copper) olive fits inside the burner. The plug is forced in by a nut which screws on to the base of the burner.

Henry, the garlic keeps away the vampires. When was the last time you heard of an Italian getting bit by a vampire? See, it works.
