Mine stays together by friction, mostly.
It lives in a plastic zip-lock bag.

Hmm. Based on posts I've read here, I believe that EFI was the manufacturer of these stoves. My understanding, again based on reading posts here, is that Hank Roberts was one of the brands the EFI stoves were marketed under.

Can anyone confirm (or deny) that?

    Hello,
I just looked at both of mine and neither came with a screw. But, that would seem to be the logical choice. But, it does seem as though it was made to just be held together with just friction. Then maybe slide into a side pouch.

    OK, I admit, "I don't get it".

I appreciate it's a stove but is it a gassie? If so, is there a pressurised tank / bottle that fits beneath the brass coloured piece on the bottom?

    Is it liquid fuel?

Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back ...

    Regards,

    Rob

The EFI/Hank Roberts type stoves are gas stoves, but they are liquid feed gas stoves. In other words, the gas is pressurized in the tank to the degree that it becomes liquid and that liquid is not vaporized prior to being feed into the stove. These stoves had a side laying canister.

Greetings, one of these just came into my paws. By surprise - nestled in the middle of a vintage aluminum Sigg Tourist Pot Set that I snagged from my local thrift store!

Looks simple and effective, though without the charm of any of my brass Optimus stoves.

Please tell me if anyone knows what kind of fuel canisters are available to work with these stoves?

    On one forum, http://members4.boardhost.com/ultralite-hike/msg/1228255371.html
people alluded to the canisters not being available and needed to do some kind of conversion?

    Any clues ?

The original cannister had a cunning wick so it sucked liquid gas from the canister like a 8r but you would be lucky to find one on its own. Some people have refilled them. Otherwise a modified fuel line will convert to a remote canister stove
