Dear All, There were a posting about "what stove do you wish to have" or something similar, I do not remember correctly. And I stated there I would like to have a Primus 96. Immediately after this post, dear friend Doc Mark told that he had an uncomplete 96 stove and if I want he could send it to me. As you will guess I accepted this nice offer immediately 8) Dear Doc sent me a Primus 96 tank and a spirit cup. Then I started to search missing parts at "Wanted" section of this wonderfull site. Now the stove is complete and burning. I would like to thank to dear friends; - Mark Rutledge (Doc Mark) for nice tank and spirit cup. - Bryan Miller (kaw550red) for newly manufactured lovely legs, filler cap, burner plate, many gaskets and other gifts - Rob (Evil) for unused burner head. My Dear Friend Sefa, You are so very welcome for the parts that I sent, and I'm very excited and happy that you got your little 96 up and running so quickly!! You did a wonderful job of polishing it all up, too, and it looks a treat!! Along with myself, Bryan, and Evil, I must add Ian to the list of those who contributed to your little stove getting a new life. Ian had send me a 96 lipstick burner tube, which I planned to use on another Frankenstove project. But, I later decided that what I wanted to do was too dangerous to be undertaken, and so the little 96 burner tube just sat, unused. I included that when I sent the tank and spirit cup to you. So, even though he didn't know it, Ian had his hand in this neat resurrection of your wonderful 96, too! I love it! A CCS group effort, indeed!! Welcome back, Mark. You evidently had a good trip. Well, there's a thing with that 96 vapo. Seems like a roundabout way of getting a part from Huddersfield to Mersin. Better that it ended up where it did rather than getting chopped up for some hybrid or other.

Hello, Where else could you find a community so helpful. Glad to see you got the 96 running. They are a good solid stove and a small work of art. Amazing how when everyone pitches in we get such positive results. I agree with Ian it makes it all worth while when someone shows up with little hope of getting something to work and in the end they have it completely restored. Chuck

I am also now a proud owner of an 'Ian' stove! I have his 'Hank Roberts' conversion, and am absolutely pleased with it! I know it's a gassy, but I am thrilled with it because this was the first stove I ever owned back in my teen years - now some 30 odd years ago GASP , using it on a solo hike way back then and am now able to use one again. I will treasure this one for as long as I can light them up. Photos will soon follow of this CCS 'treasure' in use! Thanks again Ian!

Hey, Guys, I, too, like the old Hank Roberts stoves! I have more than several of them, and even got the conversion parts from Ian, a while back. But, so far, I've not taken up the gaunlet and undertaken the conversion. I look forward to doing to, however, as the HR is an outstanding design, lightweight, small, easy to use, and convenient. Used with a wrap-around windscreen, which is possible now that the conversion is available, I think it will work even better than in it's original incarnation!! Cool! Take care, and God Bless!
