Anyone else have this issue with a Coleman 2 burner. When I turn down the burner on my 425 to medium or less I get what looks like a candle flame coming from the top of the generator right where it enters the manifold. I cannot figure out why this is happening. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Is the tank mounted all the way forward? Could the handle be in the way?
    Is the jet nut tight?
Check for spider webs or other blockages in the manifold. Poke with pipe cleaners.

As Ken already mentioned. Try tightening the jet nut. You may need to remove the brass tip and clean corrosion off the iron threads. I had the best luck tightening it while hot, but was criticized for that suggestion. It is what finally worked for me.

    Hi,

When I had that problem on a 413, it was a loose jet nut as described by Ken and itchy. To get it tight enough to seal, I had to follow itchy's advice to clean the threads with a wire brush. Then I put a tiny drop of oil on them before reinstalling the nut, to make sure things snugged up nicely. Don't overdo the tightening: since the nut is brass on my stoves, I've found it's better to undertighten at first and redo it as required. I haven't retightened when "hot" but "warm" has done well for me.

You can't beat the experience of our Stateside pals in getting the best out of their home-grown Coleman products.

The problem's not arisen with mine but I've memorised the tips in case one does that.

    Much appreciated.

Spiders really like that manifold. I just cleaned one out that I had run less than a year ago.

I tried all of your suggestions and it seems to be cured. Not sure which was the culprit but thank you for your help.
