Hi, here are some photos of an Optimus No.00 which I acquired recently.

This Optimus No.00 has a Primus style tin, and a burner marked Optimus-Primus, so I reckon it dates from fairly soon after the formation of the PTC in 1962.

I like the tins on these stoves. The rolled edge in the steel makes them sturdier than the clasp type IMO. A little roomier too. I've got the exact same outfit with Primus 210 markings and a sticker on the lid. Wonderful stoves these are!

Hi, I have taken some additional photos of this post-1962 Op.00 to illustrate the distance from the pump-tube to the nearest leg-socket:

and to show that this particular Op.00 has "drain-holes" at the base of the leg sockets:

    Hello George,

I do like these 00 stoves. I must admit i kind of looked at them as a bit of a "plain jayne" stove, but how wrong i was.. Respect to this little workhorse.

Am i right in saying that you have a steel pump rod on your stove ?

Secondly, what is stamped on the supplied spanner on yours ? I have two with different stampings.

"made in Sweden" on one and "OPTIMUS made in Sweden" on the other spanner.

Hi Andrew, Yes, this Op.00 does have a steel pump rod. I also checked the spanner (wrench) that came with it and it is stamped "OPTIMUS Made in Sweden"
Op.00 stoves are very good indeed. They are powerful, easily controllable, and look good.
    Best Regards,
    George.

I have a Op.00 also but it is missing the pump rod and the spanner wrench and the tin. Any ideas where i may be able to locate these parts?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi Gunny, welcome to CCS.

It is quite likely that your stove never had a tin as most No.00s were sold in a cardboard box (K for Karton designation, rather than L for Lada = tin designation) as the K model was cheaper.
Used boxes very rarely appear on eBay. You might consider a replacement, which you can paint in a colour of your choice:

You can buy a repro spanner/wrench on UK ebay:

US ebay seller Bella could perhaps supply a pump rod:

    Good Luck with your stove,

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.
