Hey all! I have a small red plastic spout that is sized to match the holes in the old Sigg and MSR fuel caps. It can be put on the threads of the cap and together they are screwed into the bottle. This makes for a simple, no fuss pour into my Svea 123. I think I got it at Campmor in the 80s. I just got my daughter her first stove, a 123 of course. Anybody know of a current source for these wonderful plastic spouts? Thanks for helping me get a new Svea owner up and going.
Hi, I have a couple of them, and wish I'd been smarter earlier in life, because I'd have stocked up on several more. Sadly, I don't know of anyone still making them, but maybe someone here knows of a NOS supply? Agreed, they are wonderful. Arguably the best pouring solution I've encountered over the years. Rick C
Have you had luck with the Trangia spouts and bottles? In particular, do you get any leaks in your pack? These look like the best current solution (other than a funnel, which I'd rather avoid).
I really like the Trangia bottles. Before sealing, and before pouring, open the top, by pushing the top down, to equalize air pressure.
I've been using this doodah for quite a while. I originally thought it was a bodge-up; a frankenspout, if you like, but I read somewhere (probablyhere) that it was an actual Sigg part. It'd be easy enough to bodge one up though. It has a vent opposite the spout...

Lurker here... I've been using either 375ml or 750ml plastic liquor bottles for fuels. Very durable material, positive seal that you can 'squeeze test' for confirmation,.. and relevant to this thread: The pour spout from a dish soap bottle [or other, YMMV] screws right on! (I transport with the original cap in place.) Looks like pros/cons of plastic bottles were discussed here way back in naught five, but I wanted to share.
