    Good Morning!

I recently inherited my family's Primus 2090 stove which was used for all our camping trips since I was near zero years old. There appears to be no problem with it except one…..I do not have the hose for it.

I have been up and down the Internet looking for a hose and even emailed Primus for advice (no reply) without luck.

I am fine with running it off of 1 lb bottles, but traditionally it was run off of (and I'd like the flexibility for both) a 20 lb tank.

Looking for help to acquire a hose for my Primus 2090, or point me in the right direction.

    Cheers!

    For those who don't know what a Primus 2090 looks like . . . . .

Special gas part suppliers can manufacture you a new hose - usually they have the valve end. You may have to find the other bit that theads into the stove.

    shagratork and Normo,

Thanks for your pics and advice! I will look into a manufacturer for a new hose, but as (Normo) mentioned, the largest problem is the fitting to the stove.

If I am able to have a new hose manufactured - is anyone familiar enough with new Primus stoves and the 2090 to know if I can swap the stove coupling/fitting out for a newer Primus fitting, and if there are any concerns? I will take a look at my 2090 shortly and see if it is technically possible. Thinking aloud - if I am able to swap the stove coupling/fitting out, then I could just use a new Primus hose and avoid paying for a specially built part.

Thanks for the help and support so far. Would still like to win the lottery and find a complete hose!

    Cheers.

I got from my Son a simler stove missing hose, it came from a skip. So with nothing to loose I soldered on a fitting and connected it to a low pressure with a regulator. You could do the same with high pressure. It worked with the jets drilled out. I also had to give it more air as it ran too rich. Now it works well and was worth the experenent.

    Cheers
