Found this today, it hasn't had much use, looking at the typology its a type2, the instructions at the bottom have a 5-37 so I would guess printed may 1937? It still has the parts wrapped with the original paper, the nrv isn't working, so I guess that's why it survived complete, will have a look at the nrv tomorrow, then will try the possibly prewar paraffin that's in the tank to see if it lights up.
WW2 started in 1939 so it may be that the original buyer was called up and never got the chance to use it much. Many of these owners never returned from the war or had had their fill of camping so the stoves were left virtually unused in sheds or garages. I found quite a few of the immediately prewar stoves with either little or no use. It always saddened me to think of the original owners Regards Bryan
Got around to looking at stove tonight, lots of soot, the lead washer, with no marks on it, was hiding in a piece of wrapping, someone lit it without a good seal and may have had a bit of excitement, after fitting the lead seal it now works well,
