    It is a slippery slope.
    I draw the line with push-button ignition. However, being open-minded about new ideas, I've been known to use a lighter, or occationally a match, when I don't feel like smashing rocks together.

    I endorse the use of lighters, as long as they are liquid-fueled.

    personally I think the 123 has better flame control and a lower simmer
    I have the 123 and 123 R and I am planning on removing the 123 R's from my collection
    I have 5 max sievert stoves and 10 123's

    You can remove the cleaning needle from the 8r.
