Strange wick help

    Any Fettlers out there know where I can find a wig for this though it has eluded me, I've looked high and low and can't find one of these mysterious wicks I believe they're called

    "Hasag Lilliput Wick"

    Anybody who has one they could part with or knows where to get one any information would be greatly appreciated image.jpg

    Hello fellow Fettlers on another forum on this site I was told the wick I am looking for is called glass wool. However I can't find it anywhere. Anybody out there know where to find some I will I will attach some pictures of the stove that needs it thank you all for your help

    fibreglass is often refered to as glass wool .
    fibreglass rope for fire door seals .

    ceramic fiber alone didn't worked fine in my ASAG, so I attempted a composite wick: core is cotton, external layer ceramic fiber. made by trial and error to fit just a bit tight. Works great.

    Just be careful that the glass wool product you choose is made for refractory purposes (made to be exposed to high temperature).

    Glass wool is used as an ingredient in insulation - as in the picture above - but it is coated in resin. Glass wool used in fibreglass products is also coated. These would not be a good choice!

    The material for furnace and stove seals should generally be suitable...

    Awesome replies from everybody! I got some glass will cut it to size shoved it in and the stove is up and running like a champ! Thank you guys for your wisdom is greatly appreciated
