    hi folks:

not sure if this is considered off-topic or not so please forgive me if so.....

sorry to report that my $25 Svea 123 stove deal I was so happy about scoring went sour with a bad seller. He listed the stove as a buy it now and I snapped it up. This was last Thursday. I talked to him twice after the auction closed, and sent him a money order for payment on the stove. Monday morn i checked my email and he told me that there were more accessories to go with the stove, so he would need to send me my money back and relist the stove.
I told him that any accessories were a seperate issue, he'd have to relist them by themselves and send my my Svea, pricker and windscreen! he refused and offered me a Primus 71 (without the tin) instead. I insisted on the Svea, and he flat-out refused to honor the auction stating he made a mistake in listing it. Personally I think he researched the stove after the fact and discovered he could probably get double what he asked for it in the first place.
anyway, I've got a Primus 71 coming to add to my infant collection, and found another Svea 123 (not R) with the pot + handle for $50 bucks.
Girlfriends' not going to be happy but I'll have a couple new toys to play with....

    regards
    tim

A common phrase in the UK for that type of seller is the Same as Alan Wenker's surname, but we use an "A" instead of an "E"

    Who is he??

When he re-lists, I (and I hope, others) will plague him on 'Ask seller a question' by informing him I (we) know what he has done and tell him I (we) will spread the word far and wide - unless, of course he sends the Svea 123 to tim.

Tim, did you leave negative feedback for him?

That guy has a history of doing that ,you are not the first time he has refused to send the item . When you placed your bid, ebay informed you that you were entering into a contract with the seller. I would report him to the ebay fraud division and anyone else that would listen. If you accidently overbid I bet he would hold you to it ! For all of us you need to report this. I read his history and he has done this to others. Dan

Keep it polite and civil. There's nothing to be gained by being abusive at this stage in the game.

I agree with Ian. Rather than ranting I would keep it civil, matter of fact and to the point. I think you have more credibility if you can separate fact from emotion.
