What a brilliant stove! Most unique.

    I assume its a petrol stove as I don't see a pump?

    Light it up!

    Hello Umberto!

The stove is called "Assurans stove" and more then that I don't know except that the stove is from the early 1900's or later, produced by J.V Svensson in Stockholm.

What kind of fuel the stove shall have I don't know either but my guess is like yours - petrol.

I'll try to clean up the burner a little bit more and then I'll light it up! It's going to be very intressting to see if the stove is working!!

    Best Regards

Well thats one of the more interesting stoves I've seen in a while! Cant wait to see action photos. If it runs ok I'd be tempted to add it to my starting team for no reason than it looks looks like something from a Jules Verne story. Cracking stuff!

    Magnus,

Looks to be a tad heavy for packing but built like a brick shite house none the less and I would very actively persue it if it were for sale. Nice. Now light it already and let us see it breath.

    Hello Evil!

The stove is a little bit heavier then normal stoves like Primus 210, Optimus 00, Radius 21. But I thinks it depends on the burner, since it is made in pure brass.
Before I light it up, I must just polish the burner so the brass steps forward! It's an easy job to do that so soon will you all get some more pictures!

But would you all recomend me to light it up? I need advices!
    Regards
    Magnus

    hello--
do you know of anyone who has ever used a stove like this???--you might want
to ask around for more information before you light it up..what is the metal bit attached
with a heavy wire to one of the legs for???--that is the most "un-primus" looking
    stove i've see so far---

    Great looking stove. Unusual pre-heater.
My guess is that the stove burns kerosene.
On the right rear of the pic looks like a filler cap, the left rear looks like a pump, no relief valve, no flame control valve. You adjust the flame by pumping. You shut it off by opening the fill cap, very dangerous with petrol.
I say light it (on kero of course).

    Hi Dave!

No that's the problem,, I don't know anyone who got one a stove like this... I've seen some stoves who looks almost the same but it's not the same brand, it's use the be Nyberg stoves then.

You mean the spiritcup, why it's removeble? I think when the red spirit has burning out, I may need to move the spiritcup so the heat from the burner can "go down" to the tank so it's bacame some pressure.
Well, the fun thing is that the stove is produced by the same company who produced the normal Primus stoves.

    Regards
    Magnus

    Hi!

This stove dosn't got any pump. The first cap is a pressure relief and the second is where you fill up the stove with fuel.

    Regards
    Magnus
