Well, always wanted an Enders Baby but couldn't find one at a reasonable price. I came across this 9060D stove which looks to be in a great shape.

However, after reading up on it (after the fact), i really think i may have bitten off more than I can chew. Seems even more complicated than i expected.

Fired it up, I didn't think there was enough power.

I am not sure if it is the stove or operator error. Followed instructions i found in the forum.

I may end up messing with it after I learn a lot more about it.

Any advice in the meantime is appreciated.

Being German, the Enders are different, but easily worked on. Flame is a little yellow, have you checked the pump cup? Burner cap is easily unscrewed to allow removal of the jet/nipple.

I believe the culprit is the pump. It has a lot of resistance from the get go. From what I gather there are a million pieces to be dealt with. I will set some time to try and dismantle it.

Thank you Russenjesus, I am not sure exactly what the problem is, so I don't know what is needed yet, but how much is that set of parts please?

Duran, 1) what fuel did you burned when getting that yellowish flame? 2) please, unscrew (counterclockwise) the burner bell, and blow from inside and outside with compressed air (it can also be dismantled, but it may be a little tricky, so lets just try this) then test again and let to the forum fellows know.
I suspect eider a dirty burner (spider cobweb) or a dirty wick, but your stove looks too little used for this second cause be probable.

    Que te vaia bien!

The Enders do seem to have a different feel when pumping them up, maybe it's the small lever on the end. Still should have a certain feel when the nrv opens. Sometimes too, some of my stoves sit a little, the pip sticks.

Thank you Orsoorso and Duane, I am afraid the problem is with the pump. It has a lot of resistance from first try, and I mean A LOT. I would have to take it apart, will post pics as to what I find.

I am using white gas, previous owner used gasoline, judging by the strong smell.

Take the pump tube out. Sounds like either the pip is stuck or the insides are dry or gunked up. Hard to push is an indicator of a stuck nrv. Can also see if poking a wire down the tube will free the pip.

I got the pump to work and got the stove going. It had a nice strong blue flame and then fire started shooting out of the needle control valve.

Is there a link to a manual in English that gives details on what is inside the valve? Sounds like graphite packing needs to be replaced.

Is graphite packing on this 9060D same as on any Swedish Brass stoves? reason i ask is that i'd rather use one i have as a spare rather than fashion one from a graphite ribbon.

    thank you all!

    Aaron

    P.S.

I am sorry if i am posting too many times and please excuse the redundancy, but stove addiction is a real thing, should be added to the medical journal... :-)

    @Duran
    This help?

It's my 9061D, but the components won't be significantly different. I'm not sure if the graphite packing's a match, size-wise, with that off an Optimus 111.

Hi, @Duran, there is an instruction leaflet in English is the Library section. If you chose to become a subscriber you will have access to this great resource.

If you have a leak from the spindle it recommends tightening the cap nut on the stuffing box (which contains the graphite seal). Tighten enough to compress the graphite, but not so much that you cannot turn the spindle.
If there is still graphite in the stuffing box you may get away with just adding some grahite tape to "top it up", then replace the hex cap and re-tighten.

I am glad you got the air pump fixed.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Ok , fire on the side is not an issue anymore . I get a strong blue flame, it goes for about 30 seconds and then boom a woosh of yellow flame shoots up, goes back to blue and repeats itselft. Jet is clean, tank is clean, clean white gas...scratching my head.

Wished i could download my 3 sec slow-mo video to show you but i am sure that is against the forum rules.
