    Hi All,
I hope you may be able to advise me how to replace the pump cup washer on a Coleman Feather 442.
The cup washer is retained by a metal washer with three prongs which engage in a groove on the pump shaft. I've tried prying the prongs apart to push it off the shaft but without success.
Any tips would be much appreciated.
    Cheers

That should do it, just give it another go.

The replacement leathers from Coleman include a new retaining washer so don't worry about needing to re-use the one you have. Jerry

    Hi Jerry,
Many thanks for your reply. I was hoping to reuse the retaining washer as I've got a suitable replacement cup washer.
Guess I'll go down the likely destructive removal road and if I find at the crossroads a viable route I'll post it here! It's not a big deal because as you say the replacement kit includes a new retaining washer
I was also hoping I'd be able to remove the knurled knob at the thumb end of the pump shaft and get the washer on that way but it's not threaded on and I guess it's interference fit ensures an airtight seal when pumping.
    Cheers

using a 90 degree O ring pick . you can remove them without destroying them .
also an equivalalent " speed nut " is available here .

    Hi Kerry,
Yes I can see how that could work with some simultaneous pressure from underneath. I don't have that 90 degree pick but I think I could make one using a sharpened bike wheel spoke bent 90 degrees.
