Hi- Can someone please tell me what year(s) the Radius 43B was produced? How common is this stove? Thank you in advance for any information!
Hey Poncho, You ask a good question... What years were 43Bs made? That's a tough one. We can wonder why you ask and if it is because you have a line on one, I'd say buy it. How rare are they, if you guess they are rarely found in US I'd agree. As for in Sweden, I'd guess they are more rare than similar Primus & Optimus models, just a guess. As to you asking for "any information", as far as that goes, as subscriber you can find many of the same answers by reviewing reference sections. You asked, I'll add some detail. 43B... There are 43B & 43BF (silent) and 43E & 43EF (roarer). What we find in catalogs is the 43Bs were made in the 50s. There is no 43B in the 37 catalog (and no 43E or 46) Optimus bought out Radius in 63 which ended Radius manufacturing. SO 43Bs may have been made pre 50s and as late as 62/63. In future as more catalogs post this year range can be narrowed. thx omc
@poncho455 As a subscriber you have access to the catalogs. It would be a good thing to search there for images that match the stove in question to satisfy your curiosity. But, be forewarned it can be hours before you remember to come back to the world after starting such an interesting search.
