I got this big guy on eBay recently. Compared with Svea 123, it is like a giant. The original fire ring has been lost, because I can not buy this special accessories, so I had to ask a friend to help me with the lathe processing of this accessories. Is the handle designed to prevent it? I made some clean up on it. Boil a liter of water only two minutes and fifty seconds. Beautiful flame. Compared with several other common stoves
Excellent presentation @anfeng and congratulations on having a friend with the capability to make that flame ring. John
@anfeng I wish I had a friend that could work magic like that Beautiful presentation, I really liked the last pic with the "tower" - made me grin - WIDE... There is something about those big, old brassies....
@anfeng Very nice: and a beautiful flame ring. I have a Primus No. 2 with a "Liberty" brand burner. I use it in the kitchen often. Last night I made stir-fried squid: Best wishes Tony
@Tony Press Hi tony! Primus No2's great fire is very suitable for cooking oriental dishes, your stove is very beautiful. Is the pump knob designed in a three-layer structure to prevent the knob from being hot?
@anfeng I have no idea why the pump knob is made that way. I would think that the pump knob should not get hot on these stoves anyway, and if it did get hot the tank would be self pressurising. Tony
Beautiful, nice score and restoration. Didn't the cleaning made a bit too pinkish the brass components? The "stove tower" is a fantastic picture Cheers Zoltan
