I'm a bit confused about the jet/nipple I need on my 111t to use aspen 4t. I can't find a link to a 111t manual anywhere (maybe I'm not looking hard enough), but I assumed I would need to change the nipple to use petrol/aspen. So far I have only seen comment on it being multi fuel but needing a restrictor for alcohol, and Basecamp only lists one nipple for the 111b, and one nipple for the 111t. Can anyone tell me whether its genuinely multi-fuel with no change of nipple, as Optimus claim for the Hiker+, or should I be putting the 111b nipple on the 111t if I want to burn aspen 4t. I fear this may be a question that has been asked many times before, but I can't find a definitive answer. Thanks, Graham
@myotis As I recall it, it is only alcohol that need another nipple and a air restrictor. It is about 25 years since I tested the 111T with the stated fuels in the instruction which also stated diesel, so I might be wrong. I use kerosene in all of my kerosene stoves regardless if they can be used with gasoline. Much more safe that way. Michael
The 111-T is maximized for Kerosene with a .28mm jet. The jet for aspen 4t is .35mm. I have had good results using this listings. As a 111T uses a 206 burner. Range of Jet Sizes Used for Optimus 206/207B burner ±.02mm(.0008") wo/noticable change A-jet Alcohol 0.51mm(.020")/no air restrictor #2508 propane 0.45mm(.018") G-jet Colemans 0.37mm(.015") #2510 k-jet Kerosene 0.28mm(.011") #2500 M-jet-k/Colemans=0.32mm(.013") #2502 M-jet-alcohol=0.32mm(.013")+air restrictor #2502/#2509
Thanks, I tend to use paraffin/kerosene, but its convenient to be able the same fuel across multiple stoves occasionally. Thanks, a useful list, is the .35mm a typo, given the available jets you list are .37 and .32mm, or is that the recognised jet size for 4T, and you just have to go with the nearest size, which I guess would be the 0.37. Graham
If you are already using kerosene in it and want to try 4T, it may work fine for you. I have a couple of 111Ts that run nice with either fuel, and one that seems to burn cleaner with white gas than with kero. If you do not go to a larger jet, the heat out put will be less with the 4T fuel, but these stoves have heat to spare.
Sorry, .35mm is a typo. .32mm is a multi-fuel jet(M-jet). .05mm down from Coleman's fuel and .04mm up from kerosene.
Thanks, that is useful to know, as I still think I will primarily use paraffin/kerosene, its just a lot easier when travelling to carry one fuel. Thanks again, that makes it clearer :-) Graham
