A less than perfect example of one of the Primus accessory stove trays for 3-leg 'domestic' pattern 2 pint stoves. I'm tempted to assume that this was intended as a winter accessory for use on snow, like the tray which is part of the Trangia winterising kit; but it may just have been to protect any vulnerable surface. This example has been heavily corroded on the upper surfaces, but cleaned off, stabilized and given a protective spray coat.

See here for another (brighter) example.

Nice restoration job. I've never seen this tray before and appreciate you sharing it. One more thing for me to look for.

A great little survivor! Was it sold with a stove or just a fortuitous find? :content:

    The latter.
It was to be used "to protect the table from getting stains" as it is said in the catalogue from Argentina.
One other catalogue also says that it's for preventing the table from being overheated (e.g. in this catalogue in page 4 and page 37).
