Hurlock stove part, what is it?

Just got this, what is this next to the nipple?

Looks like a nopple for a muzzleloading rifle.

 

Cool. You got one!! Oh...not sure what that is.

 

Most complete one I've seen since wanting to get one. Need to order a rebuild kit I guess when the Fettlebox opens after the R&R.

They are a bit of a beast. But I sure like mine.

 

It does look like a percussion cap nipple.

I'm with them, looks like a nipple for a percussion firearm. What it's not is a jet for your Hurlock.

This is a percussion cap nipple from a .54 cal muzzle loader. I think it's a positive id

 

That would be pretty cool if your rifle nipple could swap with your stove.

 

That would give a whole new meaning to the word 'fire'.

I normally don't post pictures of my nipples on the inter web .

 

Defiantly a nipple from a percussion cap muzzle loader. Interesting on how it got there, usually they are steel, yours looks like brass .

Some fire, leaks air though, need a proper washer on the fuel cap.
