Thanks old timer Petromark for this OP.
Happy Holidays to you 'n all.

Holy Moly there are SO many old storm cookers to consider but re design and durability all seem pleased with old basic aluminum Trangias, so I picked up an old well used 25 which should outlast me and my kids.
Older is often as good or better but maybe not necessarily here...

    Not lost on me:
Thanks fumes for bumping this old thread btw, nicely done.
And the good point you made that the new 2.0 version stainless is thicker at 0.3mm (vs 0.2mm, if I get that right) cool.
    thx omc

    Ken,
they're currently available at all the shops selling Trangia stuff in Sweden.
Not all of them sell the individual DuoSSAL pieces loose yet - but that will come soon I'm sure. We're fast approaching Christmas time, remember...

you can get lockable handles from several companies or use some cord and a cordlock like I do so I can either keep it on the pan or my wrist

    Greetings, All,

As far as actually cooking goes, Duossal pots have it all over the hard anodized pots! The heat very evenly, and cooking in them is a dream! If you want super light weight, look to the hard anodized pots, but if you want to actually COOK something, get Duossal, and never look back!! By the way, Primus make a very good lockable pot gripper, and I have several of them. Clap them on, lock, and VOILA, they become "one" with the pot!! Gotta love it, Mates! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

P.S. I'm blessed to have both 27 and 25 sized Duossal pot sets for my Trangia stoves, and I find the pots useful for other stoves, too.

    Doc is right,
it's the Primus part number P740400 "Crimp Pot Gripper" that locks up
and then unlocks when you want it to with a press on the button...

I know it will be available in the US, soon enough, so I will wait to see if the price is as it used to be listed on Liberty Mountain website. (84.99 USD).
It is no longer listed there, but I was told, on the phone, it is coming when made available to them.

I have been waiting for it to be up on liberty for a bit now too in hopes that it is a little cheaper price + shipping from USA and not Canada. I been saving the money in my PayPal account and not PayPal credit this time to avoid the issue I ran into when the initial batch at Canadian Outfitters had. Had the funds, but can not use PayPal Credit in Canada I guess.

The item is back on the website.
    http://www.libertymountain.com/products/7113/327775

I called Friday and they said it is NOT available.
I called my local dealer and he said the last email that he got was that when the rep said "It is not available" ... That was an error and he would check again.
I will check with my local guy, because I want to spend money local when I can.

    THAT SAID:

It is available at CampSaver website.
We’ve just added this new this product to CampSaver. Be the first to get it!

    Good Morning, @snwcmpr ,

Ken, is anyone offering just the Duossal fry pans for sale? I can't recall if my 27 and 25 Duossal sets have those pans, or not. Guess I need to seek out my "Trangia Box", down in the Hobbit Hole, and look..... But, just in case, it would be good to be able to buy the fry pans separately, if needed/ Thanks, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    Ken,

Thank you, very much! I'm going to check my two Duossal sets, first, just to make sure I don't already have those flying pans, but in truth, I am 99.99% sure I got another type of frying pan back when I got my set(s). Once I know for certain, I'm going to spring for one of each size, as we love cooking on Duossal pots already! Thanks, again, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    Update:
Campsaver now says 8-19 days. Previously 8-17.

I just had my local retailer of Trangia place a pre-order (with Liberty Mountain) for the Trangia 25-21 kit.
