I have been working on Coleman stuff all week trying to get it organized, labeled, and added to my spreadsheet. I am on #127 of 450+. I have a little to go. When we were digging thru all that stuff I came across one stove a Aida #100 The pump knob was gone along with the burner ring. I robbed some parts from my Rad #100 and got it to burn pretty ok. It needs a cleen something horrible. The burner kept spitting out little cinders and the flame was green?? I also got a Optimus 45 needed a little help, a borrowed burner ring and a newer pump leather. If the riser looks a little tall...it is it came off of a sea swing. The NRV is bad in it but it burned pretty ok also. I was out at some local haunts today and found the bottom to a Sigg set. I searched HARD!! for the rest of it but to no avail. I was given a little svea nock off it is called a pac lite I think. I havent had time for it yet. I am going to have my brother fettle it. He wants it so he get to fix it. Here is some really bad pics and some of the lamps that I have yet to tag.
That is a pile of lampage, enought to light a new nation (or the nicer parts, anyway:-) Dont own a lamp yet, no doubt one will fall into my lap at some point I see enoungh of them, usually in bits, but some whole ones. Wots a nice easy one? the "Low IQ" Model..............
Hi Splitbus. Here is a link to some images of an Aida 100. https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/4614 These are well built, quality stoves. Exeter Yak makes great new riser tubes for stoves if you need one. Kegards, Kerophile
Mike, All lamps are pretty easy to light and operate. The only problem with the old lamps is what you see in the picture. No shades or globes and often they need to be cleaned and the generators replaced. If you are looking for a nice table lamp check out the be-back-later forum. Handi Albert is usually on there and he is close to you. He might be able to fix you up with a working lamp. Not to say getting one in pieces is not a fun project to restore but, it can get expensive just sourcing the parts. It is almost better to buy one already restored. You can collect parts after you get the one that is working and restore your second one (or third) after you see how one works. Chuck Chuck
That would be called: Wait for it....................... A Candle. #-o Sorry, I'm much too weak to resist an easy one like that. Splitbus, the little Svea 123 clone is a "Pak-Cook" they were made in Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. They work well enough, but most of the parts don't interchange with Svea. Gerry
So what did you come across?? A whare house full of lamps?? Bad luck not finding the rest of the sigg set up. Bet I would half torn the place apart trying to find the rest also Bruce
I've got the rest of that Sigg Cooker rat'cheer. What'cha wanna trade? Here is the damaged windscreen from the Sigg set I got the other day. The rest of the set is in good order. Gerry
Nordic sent PM I bought a large collection. there is over a hundred lamps. that is a little less than 1/4 of the collection. I have the inventory done finally! It wasnt too bad.
