Well Clem. It’s for one of those old timey short fount Primus 71’s that I can’t seem to find a can for.
Honestly fellas. This is not much but I was reading and enjoying immensely @HONDA work. He is a true artisan. I got inspired and took today to give it a whirl. I can bet money that Honda can do better and I would love to see more of his artwork. This little bit of hillbilly engineering does not modify the stove in any way but to get it in and out it helps to remove the burner. It is also very stable considering who made it.
Cheers and for sure God bless all of us.

Why thanks @barret. It hurts when you don’t have much to work with.

@Mark Layman , if you can turn out that level of work with damn near nothing, I'd love to see what you'd turn out in a full shop!!

Thanks @Murph. I did buy the brass rod from Ace hardware. The bottom round section is part of a 105mm howitzer casing I brought back from Afghanistan back in 02. It was fired from an AC-130 gunship. (not by me).
It was too big around so I just cut out part of it and silbrazed it together. I can say one thing for sure. The brass they use in those casings is a special mix. It is tough as nails.

WOW - great design. Do you have an idea whether this makes the stove hotter because of heat transportation or just as usual?

Your design and quality of ditto looks like it should be stamped PRIMUS, and sold under the model name: Primus 71/ML (71/Mark layman).

That's nice enough that I'd be tempted to ditch my Sv123's windscreen and try to build a copy of your stand!

    *Very* elegant.

No hotter than usual @Harder D. Soerensen. Too hot is bad of course but most are done with cooking anyhow by the time it gets danger hot. I believe they wouldn't have made these stoves for as long as they did if they kept burning folks up.
Maintenance and prudence is key to safety, always.

Good about the heat - have experienced that stove heat can travel in mysterious ways.
(Sometimes even directly to my fingers )
You’re right about maintenance, and that it rarely happens that a Primus blow the SRV.

I like your use of the Arty brass - looking at my Tank brass here hmmmmm.
(AC-130 is a mighty friend to call into battle).
