Welp, there's your problem. A photo would have helped tremendously, would have been diagnosed immediately. It's a lot like a carburetor that needs all the parts to achieve the right air/fuel mixture, and vaporize the fuel correctly. You wouldn't expect it to run right while missing major components.
@Trebleplink 1. Have a look at The Fettle Box for a flame ring. 2. 0.32mm is the “standard” size for the jet. 3. Clean fuel, clean tank and let it burn for half a tank should do the trick. 4. If you put a pot on to boil and it doesn’t get soot on the bottom (as opppsed to scorched), your flame is ok. Cheers Tony
